Maryland - Baltimore County Food and Financial Assistance

FOOD PANTRY: Provides a supplemental food box to eligible clients. Referrals accepted from DSS, Churches, FCFH, and agencies. Client must provide proper ID and income verification to receive food once every 30 days (limited supplies). Social security cards for all family members are needed. Call to make an appointment and bring documents - food will be available that day after paperwork is complete.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Assists with prescriptions, eviction prevention, utility turn-offs. Must provide letter from pharmacy stating the cost of prescription for prescription assistance, "Failure to Pay Rent" notice for eviction prevention, and first apply to the Office of Home Energy Programs (OHEP) and be MEAP eligible, then provide BGE turn-off notice for utility assistance. Can only help two people per week. Must bring photo ID, SS card for every member of the family, cut-off/eviction and pay stub for the last 30 days. Does not assist people living in section 8 or public housing.
